Maria Menounos has disclosed that she has was able to beat her pancreatic cancer following an early diagnose in January. She’s now advocating for other people to be more active regarding their health.

"I need people to know there are places they can go to catch things early," the "Heal Squad" podcast host said to the publication. "You can't let fear get in the way. I had that moment where I thought I was a goner--but I'm okay because I caught this early enough."

Maria Menounos is a Greek-American TV personality, journalist and actress. Her birth date was August 8, 1978 in Medford, Massachusetts, United States. Menounos was first famous as a reporter for the news program for entertainment called “Entertainment Tonight” from 2002 through 2005. Later, she was able to host a variety of other shows which included “Access Hollywood” and “Extra”

Apart from being a part of her work in TV, Menounos has also acted in television and film shows, including “Fantastic Four“One Tree Hill” and “Tropic Thunder.” Menounos has also written a few books that include “The EveryGirl’s Guide to Life” and “The EveryGirl’s Guide to Cooking.”

Alongside her acting profession, Menounos is also an advocate for a variety of causes such as studies on brain cancer. She had surgery to remove the benign tumor on her brain in 2017, and since then has spoken out about her experience as well as her belief in the need for early diagnosis and treatment.
